I am a bi-racial millennial therapist. My heart belongs to my three cats and dog. When I am not working you can find me spending time with the fur babies or binge watching shows/movies. I am an avid Romantasy reader. When the weather outside is tolerable, I like to take my dog exploring. I practice what I preach and have been in and out of therapy for the past six years. I will not turn down an opportunity to find new hole in the wall restaurants to eat at. When the mood strikes, I let my right brain take over and indulge in a creative activity like painting.
Services I offer?
I offer high quality, holistic, and individualized therapeutic services. I take a person centered and experiential approach with my clients. This provides them with a corrective emotional experience and a newfound sense of confidence and security within themselves.
What's a session like?
When working with me, what you can expect in a typical therapy session is to feel heard and seen. I utilize my person centered approach to connect with my clients and provide them with a safe space to explore their emotions and feel comfortable discussing them. I will listen without judgment. I will let you guide the session and tell me what you'd like to work on that hour. You are the expert about your life and I am the expert with the clinical knowledge to help you achieve your goals. Some sessions are heavier than others. However, my goal each session is to offer emotional relief and allow you to leave what was processed in the office and walk out feeling more resolved and lighter. I take into consideration your spiritual/ religious beliefs, cultural identity, and other important aspects of your life to create an individualized treatment plan that fits your needs. I will provide skills to help you cope with your emotions, while modeling how to talk about these feelings and still remain in control of them. Above all else, you can expect a positive experience in a session where you are left feeling more connected to yourself and closer in alignment with your therapeutic goals.
